战术解析：第一次写前瞻帖这么的“不适应”，看着一个个相对陌生的名字，绞尽脑汁推荐大名单和先发11人。那些熟悉的身影逐渐离我们远去，必须强迫自己“忘记”他们，是的“黄金一代”的时代结束了。总感觉意大利队，有着极其辉煌的历史，上一代球员战绩和形象都非常的伟岸，但结束的总归要结束，开始的总归要开始。
对于新意大利，我认为在心态上有2点最重要——一是要乐观，二是要自信。以前黄金一代时期，我们总是告诫自己要低调低调，那时我们有着世界水平的球员，世界超一流的队伍。现在的意大利队就像一张白纸，一切从头开始。对于这样一支真正意义“从零开始”的队伍，无论教练、球员乃至球迷都要抱有乐观的情绪。乐观不是盲目的，而是一种态度，如果我们总是悲悲切切回顾着南非的惨痛经历，球队将无法前行。自信也是必须的，新意大利肯定不如2006站在世界之颠的冠军队，但从人员上看，实力派的不少，关键看教练的组合，如果组合好了，一定不会差。实在不希望再看到对斯洛伐克比赛前，部分中生代队员那迷茫的眼神了。
接着谈谈具体的。意大利该招哪些人？首先我反对“为了年轻而年轻”，新意大利无论如何比老意大利年轻，但不意味着游戏里所谓那些“妖人”就有资格进国家队，意大利队还是应该以那些在联赛里表现稳定出色的当打球员为主，因为这个队伍的着眼点是2年后的欧洲杯，只要2年后不算老就不算老。黄金一代的队员估计只能保留布冯和皮尔洛，布冯有伤，皮尔洛我也建议这次先不要招了。对于皮尔洛这样的球员，31岁了，好钢要用到刀刃上，他不需要考察，友谊比赛就歇歇吧，意大利也应该学会在没有皮尔洛的情形下比赛，不要皮尔洛一不在就很乱。至于外援，我希望大莫塔和阿毛里入选。大莫塔是意大利需要的那种全能型中场。阿毛里近期状态不俗，意大利也需要强力中锋这种类型的队员。像帕齐尼或吉拉这样抢点型的，队里有一个就足够了。
普兰德利最喜欢4231，那就从4231开始吧，谈谈我对意大利队本场先发的看法。门将位置既然是热身赛，还是先看一看维维亚诺这样的年轻人，如果比赛证明他难堪大任，正式比赛再用斯托拉里甚至阿比亚蒂这样的老将不迟。后卫线，2个边后卫应该用能跑的，哪怕技术差些，最关键的是在需要你的时候能到位，攻能上得去守能回的来听上去容易，需要强大体能作为基础，所以我觉得马乔和安东尼尼应该出现在主力边后卫的位置上。小莫塔的确不错，但总觉得他的体能有问题，作为奇兵还是可以的，但主力有些难。中卫组合人们总是谈论椰子和博努齐的组合，不过我认为博切蒂更适合与齐耶里尼搭档。博切蒂能力未必高过博努齐，特点也不一样，不过他的比赛经验更丰富，虽然在国家队并不经常上场，但他经历的各级国字号青年的比赛很多，参加过欧青赛和奥运会这样重要的赛事。不要忽略国字号经验，没有国字号经验，到场上难免会怯场，君不见世界杯上前意甲最佳门将马尔切蒂惊恐的眼神。博努齐是不错的队员，但经验不足，需要考察，况且他并不缺乏与齐耶里尼交流的机会，他们本来就是一个队的，从这个角度看，也该给博切蒂在友谊赛里更多机会。
双后腰是4231最关键的环节。现代足球要求2个后腰能攻善守，如今意大利已经找不到睡皮和里诺这样的“特型演员”了，所以全面将是选拔后腰的第一因素。德罗西自不必说，罗马人将是这个国家队未来的领袖和队长之一。与他搭档的，建议用大莫塔。以前在热那亚的时候，大莫塔给我的印象是组织不错，但是有点软。应该说，是穆里尼奥让巴西人产生了质变，大莫塔不但保持了进攻的特色，而且硬度明显增强，成为了一个真正意义的全能后腰。如果让他与德罗西形成中路组合，一旦默契的话，攻可以插上，守可以形成屏障，意大利的中场一定可以挺起来。
攻击线4个人怎么摆是问题，首先要解决卡萨诺和巴洛特利的位置问题。我们要明白，2个人的优势是什么，劣势是什么。巴洛特利在战术层面与穆里尼奥最大的争执就是回防，这里有葡萄牙人过于脚劲的因素，但马里奥很多时候“溜达”着回防的确是问题。卡萨诺态度没问题，但要他像佩佩那样做整场的“活塞”运动，勉为其难。个人认为，把他们往中路摆更好一些。卡萨诺前腰，出任类似于佛罗伦萨约维蒂奇那样的角色，充分发挥他在禁区前沿能传威胁球、能突破的优点。巴洛特利顶到中锋位置上，虽然头球差点，但马里奥不是不可以打中锋，他的身体条件技术意识都可以胜任。而且这场比赛，科特迪瓦也不是那种龟缩的球队，会给有速度的马里奥提供空间。
至于两个边锋，需要态度更好的队员，就如同国米的艾托奥和潘德夫那样的人，当需要防守时，2个边锋会自觉出现在边后卫身前10米左右的地方。罗西和小夸显然态度没问题，他们都很积极，我们都还记得联合会杯罗西疯抢美国后卫的情形，都还记得世界杯上小夸杀红了眼的情景。更重要的，是他们比佩佩这样的“打铁”式边锋更有攻击力，虽然不是现象级的球员，但罗西、夸利亚雷拉都有相当的突传能力，必要时可以杀到禁区里增援，给对手致命打击。

ANTONIO CASSANO
Position: Forward
Age: 28
Club: Sampdoria


Italy have dreadfully lacked creativity and imagination over the past couple of years, and this was a key reason for the 2010 World Cup flop. The first move Prandelli must make as coach is to recall Cassano and make him the central playmaking cog of the Azzurri attack.

MARIO BALOTELLI
Position: Forward
Age: 19
Club: Inter


Prandelli's second move must be to promote Manchester City-bound forward Mario Balotelli from the Under-21s. The temperamental starlet will provide some much-needed pace and explosiveness going forward, and could forge a potent partnership with Cassano.

DAVIDE SANTON
Position: Defender
Age: 19
Club: Inter


Exploded onto the scene in 2008/09 but missed the World Cup after an injury-hit campaign last season. Nevertheless, Santon remains one of the most promising players of his generation and will be a first choice Inter starter when Maicon moves to Real Madrid. His pace and promise is a must for Italy.

MARCO MOTTA
Position: Defender
Age: 24
Club: Juventus


Should be the long-term replacement for Gianluca Zambrotta at right back for both Juventus and Italy. Motta is a machine going forward, and just needs to tidy up his defensive positioning. Once he does this, the Azzurri will have a top-class right full back on their hands.

THIAGO MOTTA
Position: Midfielder
Age: 27
Club: Inter


Another Motta who deserves to at least be part of the Italy squad. Thiago is actually a quarter-Italian through his paternal grandfather and would be a useful option in the middle of the park. Certainly offers more guarantees than Riccardo Montolivo.

ATTACKING MIDFIELDER

Antonio Candreva


Since 2006, Italy have been desperately short of attacking midfielders capable of linking the middle third to the final third, with the ability to carry the ball, dribble, and open up the opposition with skill and speed. Whatever formation Prandelli decides upon, Italy need a couple of such players in his squad. Three possible options are Rosina, Lazzari and Candreva, yet club form will be key to selection.

As well as those already mentioned above, Prandelli must be more willing to give youngsters a chance when they prove themselves for their clubs. The likes of Ranocchia, Poli, Santacroce, Giovinco, Federico Macheda, Lorenzo De Silvestri, Daniele Ragatzu, Ezequiel Schelotto are all Under-23s and could be knocking on the door before Euro 2012.

FABIO CANNAVARO
Position: Defender
Age: 36
Club: Al-Ahli (UAE)


Italy record-cap holder and victorious 2006 legendary captain Cannavaro announced his international retirement after the 2010 flop. Prandelli's first task in defense will be finding a top-quality partner for Giorgio Chiellini at center back.

GENNARO GATTUSO
Position: Midfield
Age: 32
Club: Milan


Gattuso has also hung up his international boots after a glittering international career. 'Ringhio' offered the Azzurri the midfield bite in 2006 that they haven't possessed since the days of Marco Tardelli and Romeo Benetti. If Italy are to be successful under Prandelli, one of the center midfielders will need to mirror the toughness of Gattuso.

ALBERTO GILARDINO
Position: Striker
Age: 28
Club: Fiorentina


Likely to remain in the setup as he is one of Prandelli's favorites from their time together at both Parma and Fiorentina. However, the tactician would be wise to snub the ex-Milan flop who has proven time and again that he is not an Italy-caliber striker.

VINCENZO IAQUINTA
Position: Striker
Age: 30
Club: Juventus


Like Gilardino, Iaquinta is a very useful club player but is missing that class to make the step up to the international arena. The Juventus man will be 32 by Euro 2012, and for someone who relies on his physical attributes Prandelli must cut the hitman now.

ANTONIO DI NATALE
Position: Forward
Age: 32
Club: Udinese


Di Natale will be in his 35th year when Poland/Ukraine arrives, and having consistently failed to transfer his outstanding club form for his country it is a no-brainer that Di Natale's Italy career must end.

GIANLUCA ZAMBROTTA
Position: Defender
Age: 33
Club: Milan


Was one of the very few Italy players who didn't disgrace himself in South Africa, but the time has come for Zambrotta to finish his national chapter. The wing back will be 35 in two years time and Italy need young legs who can get up the right and left flanks.


MAURO CAMORANESI
Position: Midfielder
Age: 33
Club: Juventus


Like Zambrotta, Camoranesi will be far too old to perform at Euro 2012 and his already crumbling body will have likely crumbled even more by then. A useful servant to Italy over the past seven years, but it's time to say arrivederci.

FEDERICO MARCHETTI
Position: Goalkeeper
Age: 27
Club: Cagliari


One of the most over-rated goalkeepers currently in circulation. Marchetti may boast impressive reflexes, but his inability to command his box - not to mention poor positioning, organization and handling of crosses - means that Gianluigi Buffon's deputy must be someone else.

MARCO BORRIELLO
Position: Striker
Age: 28
Club: Milan


Granted, Borriello didn't travel to the World Cup but there are reports that Prandelli is considering him ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. This would be a big mistake as Borriello is far too immobile to be playing in a team with Cassano and Balotelli. Prandelli should also forget about the Cristians - Ledesma and Zaccardo - and be very wary of Amauri, despite his superb pre-season for Juventus so far.

Marco Marchionni


The politics of Marcello Lippi during his second spell in charge was an unequivocal disgrace, and it is vital that Prandelli doesn't follow the same path. This includes favoritism towards some of his former Parma and Fiorentina players. Gamberini is not top quality enough to partner Chiellini at center back, Montolivo just doesn't have that winning mentality and stature, while Marchionni will turn 32 in 2012. Not forgetting Gilardino as well, of course.
