The Board of Directors of Uchi Technologies Berhad ("UTB") is pleased to
announce that the Minister of Finance, via the Malaysian Industrial Development
Authority's letter dated March 24, 2008, had granted Uchi Optoelectronic (M)
Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of UTB, exemption from income tax for a
period of five (5) years commencing from January 1, 2008 under P.U. (A) 112
Income Tax (Exemption) (No. 11) Order 2006 for the following activities:-

"Design, development and manufacture of mixed signal microprocessor based
application and system integration."

This announcement is dated March 24, 2008.

starbucks，coffee been他们的coffee机是跟谁买的？？
不过它还有很多航空公司的订单。。。
最近美金一直跌，那么对于它的影响又会如何？？？
自己想想看，然后再从另外的角度看，会清楚很多。。。
RM1.60是我自己set的limit，RM1.80左右目前也显示出该公司的应有价格。。。
不然king1982也不会说新加坡那里选择丢票啊！！

之前看到一片新闻，咖啡原产品价高涨。
我想这有一定的影响力。如果去茶室打包MILO 涨到RM2。50，我都要喝少两包啦！
有谁牺牲下，去研究研究。很多鸡肠，我看不明白。

从它的PRINCIPLE ACITIVITIES里都没看到它有说卖咖啡机
请问大家说它卖咖啡机的说法是从那里来的?

DY 是 13.85 ，
单看这个数字实在很吸引人。

这间公司的周息率不错，是一间台湾公司，自从上市以来，如果买进1000股的话，到现在应该会有8470股。这还没有加上股息。

最近5年的派发总共有166分，平均每年33分左右，是ROE高的一间公司。

我觉得这间公司适合长期投资，在PART 2我会计算如果UCHITEC以上市，你投资1000股，你到现在是拿回多少钱。

UCHITEC在2000年开始上市，那么当时的股价是大约80分左右买进的话（调整后的股价），那么如果你以1000股买进的话，

在2001年，在7月派发红股，10送1，那么你会有1100股，每股股息股息是37分，那么你会获得RM407.00

在2002年，又派发红股，5送2，那么变成了1540股，每股股息是44分，股息收入是RM677.60

在2003年，又送红股，10送1，那么1694股，每股股息是39分，股息收入是RM660.66

在2004年，股票折细，变成20分面值，就有8470股，每股股息是26分，收入是RM2202.20

在2005年，派发了20分股息，收入是RM1694.00

在2006年，派发了，暂时派发了10分股息，RM847.00

在2000年，以800元买进1000股的UCHITEC，那么今天是8470股，价值RM26934.60，股息收入是RM6488.46.

那么，以800元投资在好的公司，总回酬是RM33423.06.

其实，这是我自己大概的计算而已，这是长期投资的好处，无论环境怎样，熊市还是牛市都好，只要公司的基本面还有生意前景光明，就算股价下跌，也是属于暂时性，当熊市结束以后，股价很快的上涨回合理的水平了。

所以，我们投资好的公司，长期持有就能抛开那些不稳定的因素。

Uchitec may have peaked

Uchi Technologies Bhd ('Uchitec') is involved in the manufacture & sale of controller modules for consumer & industrial electrical & electronic appliances. Uchitec, which was listed in July 2000, has become one of the darling stocks among the investors due to its impressive financial performance & the steady rise in its share price.

In the past 4 quarters, its net profit seems to have hit a plateau. According to its latest quarterly results fro QE30/9/2007, Uchitec's net profit has dropped 13.4% q-o-q or 17.8% y-o-y to RM18.7 million while its turnover has also declined by 2.5% q-o-q or 5.3% y-o-y to RM39.2 million. The company attributed the decline in its net profit to the appreciation of Ringgit as well as changes in the product mix.



Based on the 9-mth performance, Uchitec is expected to register a small decline in its net profit for FY2007, which will break its profit track record, which shows a consistence growth since 2002. The group could recover from this small setback in FY2008 when its new plant in China is set to start operation.



Technical analysts may take a bearish view of Uchitec's recent share price decline. The share price seems to have peaked at RM3.40 & broke below its long-term uptrend line support of RM2.90 on November 2nd.

Based on the technical SELL signal noted, it is advisable to avoid Uchitec for now.

Uchi Technologies Bhd (UCHITEC - 7100)

A cash rich group that is primarily involved in the development and manufacturing of electronic control modules for precision weighing scales, laboratory centrifuges, printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and other industrial and consumer electronic products. Has operations both in Penang and China. Uchitec is also in the process (completion 2H07) of setting up Mechatronic Development Division (MDD) centre in Canton, China. In 2006 it earned itself a spot on the Forbes list of 'Asia's 200 Best Under A Billion'.

It has consistently churned out remarkable financial results. Return on Equity (ROE) for year 2002 till 2006 has been above the 30% mark. Known for its solid management under the helm of its Taiwanese Chairman Ted Kao and Managing Director Edward Kao. For the financial period ended 30 June 2007 Uchitec recorded a year to date profit before tax (PBT) of RM42,905 million (unaudited). This is slightly more than the results for the corresponding period of 2006.
Substantial Shareholders include the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Pte (5%) Ltd, Eastbow International Limited (24%), Arisaig Asean Fund Ltd (5%), Lembaga Tabung Haji (5%). The substantial shareholders of a company can sometimes be a good indication of the company's value in the eyes of professional/institutional investors.

Uchitec is a solid stock to pick up (when the price is right) for its good Dividend Yield (DY) and EPS. Its Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) is relatively low at appoximately 11x. Its setting up of the Mechatronics Development Division (MDD) should have a positive impact on business of the group in the future. Also its gradual diversification into a product line that includes medical apparatus will strengthen its position in the electronic product industry and also reduce its reliance on its major customer Eugster (leading global maker of coffee machines).
